1st Grade T-shirts

Hi parents!

We have had a GREAT first two days of school! I have very much enjoyed getting to know your children so far... it's going to be a great year!

Just a reminder:

1st Grade T-Shirts (I gave out the envelope order form at Meet the Teacher) are not optional. We will wear these t-shirts on field trips and during special events. Please send $8.00 with your child to school in their blue folders as soon as possible. If there is a money issue, PLEASE let me know via email (corleya@friscoisd.org) and we will definitely work something out.

It's Almost School Time!!!

School is starting in 7 days! If your first graders are like me, they're feeling anxious, excited, and curious about the new school year. It is going to be such a FUN year, and I can't wait! What I'm most excited about is meeting all my kiddos! There will be familiar faces and some new ones, and I just know it's going to be a wonderful year. Parents, please know that your involvement in your child's education is extremely important, and our class is really going to need your help! The more you work with your students at home, the more success they will continue to have at school. First grade is a very crucial time for reading, so PLEASE read to your child at home and give them opportunities to read to you. Also, our class library could really use some books, so if you happen to have any at home you can part with, it would really benefit our class!

I can't wait to meet all of you at meet the teacher night on Friday!
